Blacklisted on CBL blacklist

We have been offering mail for over 10 years and have only been on a blacklist once or twice in all that time.

We spend a lot of time trying to keep spammers off our system.

Most of our mail goes through SurgeMail on another system.

Recently over the last few months we have been setting up more and more domains on DA and running the mail for those domains through DA.

Now our DA machine is blacklisted with CBL and in turn is now listed with SPAM Haus.

This is a HUGE problem.. I followed the docs on the site and can confirm that the HELO is not responding with a bad hostname.

They are very vague on what the problem could be and do not tell us specifically why we are listed. They just basically give you some things to look at which we are trying to work through.

Just thought while we were working through the 8,000,000 things it could be, I would post a message here and see if anyone has run into this issue with a DA machine and the CBL list before.

Any help would be most appreciated.

The DirectAdmin configurations have never been blocked by default by CBL or any other blocklist.

1) make sure you have working reverse DNS for the hostname advertised in your hello.

2) make sure your server is really not sending spam.
