Hello,

I discovered a bug in DirectAdmin. When you enable SPF records (dns_spf=1) and backup, transfer and restore an user to another DirectAdmin server, there will be two SPF records. One SPF record with the details of the old server and one SPF record with the details of the new server.

Only the SPF record with the details of the new server should exist.

Hi,

I'm not completely sure that only the entry of the new server has to be kept.

If you have a client that has their own mail server, they might have changed the spf record to their ip address, changed the ~all to -all. This would get overwritten when restoring to a new server?

That is no problem:

A checkbox feature is in the verisons system to allow the Admin to decide to use either the backup SPF or local SPF records (same for TXT)
http://www.directadmin.com/features.php?id=1435
but is not yet implemented.
