So, I just got my fresh server from my host with DA installed on it and wanted to setup nameservers on dedicated IPs for both. So, I assigned 3 IPs to my reseller, used one for the domains and the other two for the nameservers.
I then went to the reseller page and went to create two nameservers, one on each IP and set them to be the default nameservers for new users , etc.. etc... It also looked good in IP manager.
So, all should be right?
Well, no. The name server only listened to 127.0.0.1. Even though all the configuration was right, nothing would work because it was only looking to the localhost IP and not external IPs. I don't know if I missed something in the DA panel to set this. I went over it many times, but to no avail. So I just went into named.conf myself, made the changes, then resarted Named and everything worked fine.
Am I missing something?
