Can nginx works with FastCGI

Can I use nginx with fastcgi php mode or it must be only php-fpm?

Currently only php-fpm is supported with nginx.

Now, I'm using php-fpm & nginx_apache with opcache and without zend guard on Cloudlinux. All runs smoothly.
