I am using a DA system with Host Elite and have had few problems for the past several years. Today I am stumped. When one of my users logs on and accesses one of his domains, the following happens:
Logging in as the user is fine
Can see the Users DA home screen fine - which shows a list of domains
Most domains work fine.
One domain, howevever, has a problem.
Clicking on that domain leads to that domain's main page (YOUR ACCOUNT, EMAIL MANAGEMENT and ADVANCED FEATURES are the mains sections)
Clicking File Manager works fine and the website, ftp etc are all ok
BUT...
Clicking E-MAIL ACCOUNTS generates the folllowing error:
"Cannot open the user password file for reading"
I do have the option of creating new accounts but I am afraid to screw something up.
We cannot login to any of the email accounts under this domain either with webmail or outlook.
Seems like a password file is corrupted. Is there anyway to find and repair it or recreate it (even if I need to change all the passwords) without deleting the underlying email account files (i.e. all the email that has gone unread since this problem began)?
I would appreciate any help. If possible, please copy your response to my working email [email protected]
Thanks.
