Can't add domain for user

I'm having trouble adding a domain for a client. The customer previously tried to add a domain and failed. Now there is no domain on his account, however, when I try to add it from DirectAdmin, it shows information that the domain exists. I also see that the configuration for this domain in httpd also exists. How do I completely remove it now to add it again?
