Hi, I've searched everywhere I can't seem to find anybody else with this problem. One of my users control panel says

An Error has Occurred

Details

Error Parsing Cron File

Every time they click on cronjobs. I've enabled and disabled cron jobs on their account to see if that would help but it is still the same. I'm guessing that maybe the user deleted some file from their ftp that directadmin uses to set up the cron jobs.

Anyhow, ANY help regarding this would be greatly appreciated. BTW, it is only ONE user that gives this error; the rest of the accounts can access the cron jobs from the control panel just fine.

Thanks,
Alexander Davila

If you can find a file at /var/spool/cron/USERNAME

then delete it.

See if that helps.

I went to that location and found there was no file for the username in question. I tried creating a file to see if maybe that was the problem, but it did not work either.

Any other ideas are greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Alexander Davila

Creating it won't help either. And it could hurt.

I have no idea why you're having the problem.

Anyone else?

Hello,

I am the user(client) he is refering to.

Originally Alex had us with Cpanel and the cronjob link there worked fine. Then he transfered us to DirectAdmin were as it was set to off for access to it.

So i ask Alex if he could turn cronjobs on for me and he did. When i would click cronjobs from my directadmin v1.28.5 contol panel i would get the error he posted.

Code:
An Error has Occurred

Error Parsing Cron File

1/14/07 and still counting on a no solution yet, so if anyone here who knows this program well; could help out please. :) (It seems i am the only one of is customers to that has this issue, sometimes i feel cursed, lol)

Alex has been trying hard and he gave me SSH access to my account so i can do my cronjobs manually (which is much appreciated Alex) and has offered to set my cronjobs up in the main admin account. But this means i have to send him my cronjobs and he sets them up.

So once again if any of you talented Tech people could help us, much love. :)

Also the only thread i could find anywhere refering to something kinda close was this

http://www.directadmin.com/forum/showthread.php?t=16636

Thank you

Flintridge

Alex you might try deleting the cron config file in /usr/local/directadmin/data/users/username

Had the same issue tonight. Just clear all the lines in /usr/local/directadmin/data/users/username, that solves the problem ;)
