I've got a number of accounts on a directadmin controlled server.

Suddenly I can't get to

www.mysite.com:2222

using any of the domains or the IP address

I've cleared the cache on 2 different browsers.

I've complained to the webhost who says it's an ISP issue.

I've complained to my ISP who say they can see the login screen

Any ideas on what I need to do on my PC to get through?

are you sure the server is up?
Aaaah yes :D That would be a whole different thing if the actual sites weren't available. I'm tweaking, not setting up in most cases.

if so, are you behind a corporate firewall that would be blocking that?
have turned off zonealarms and it made no difference. However I have changed my broadband connection slightly so I'll go back to the ISP and see if it might be something to do with that.

thanks

They could be blocking that. I know a number of my users cannot access the port due to corporate firewalls at work that block the external excess to a number of ports, which was corrected by proxying it through apache from the help article above.

Besides that, is DirectAdmin running for sure?

Have you tried ssh'ing into the machine itself and using lynx to load the control panel? Are you certain a firewall on the machine or at the datacenter is not blocking that port?

Thanks vandal

I've gone back to check on the ISP. They (and my webhost support person) can see the login screen on that port so I know that directadmin is running.

It's likely that the new connection I have is somehow blocking the port so I'll wait to hear back from them.
