Hi guys i dont know if this is an admin, reseller or user account technical thing.

I recently bought a dedicated server and it has directadmin installed. All im trying to do is create a user account with a domain name for my self as im using the entire dedicated server just for my and im not re-selling accounts.

What ive done is registered a domain at namecheap.com, Ive logged into directadmin and created a user, ive set nameservers to the 2 extra ip's that came with the server, then through namecheap i registered the ns1 and ns2 nameservers to those ip's.

Now my problem is that the url simply doesnt load, ive read all the guides i can find and none of them explain properly how to simply setup an account with a domain that works, if someone has a proper step by step guide please post it.

Log in asd admin, then choose user level, then add your domain and enjoy :)

Why do people bother asking for help on a domain and then not give us the domain? It doesn't make any sense.

Because people always think what they have done so far is exactly right. They always prefer people to write them a detail step by step guide to do the thing instead of giving the helpers the detail on what they themselve have done so far. This cost a lot more times for the helpers to guess and solve the problem.

Another reason may be peoples think his website is a secret and do not want to disclose the detail. But if it is a domain name on www, it is publicly reachable anyway..... Keeping the domain name a secret makes other memeber hard to help them since they cannot check to see if their dns can response correctly/ whether the zone info is setup correctly....

I may be talking too much, but seems too many people asking for help while keeping too much information as top secret:D
