catch all mail problem

i get on all users (also tryed diferent skins, same problem)

Set Catch-All e-mail
Fail: The sender is notified that the address doesn't exist
Ignore: The email is dropped and completely ignored
address |POPLIST|


what can be the problem

I think erohits is trying to say that the drop-down menu within the Catch-All Email setup screen is not working. The drop-down list is not displaying the list of email accounts to be selected.

I'm guessing that DirectAdmin is obviously not reading a certain file correctly - or does not have permission to...
 
Perhaps, but that's not what erohits is writing at all. He's writing that the sender gets a specific error.

He also writes that the mail is dropped and isn't delivered anywhere.

If the sender gets an error that the mail isn't delivered, then it's not being dropped; it's being refused, which is different.

This doesn't indicate anything at all about a problem with setting catchall. I guess we're going to have to wait until he writes back and clarifies the issue.

the first one, i dont get a drop down list to select the mailbox where catch all has to go to ,

all user accounts dont can select that drop down menu.

erohits are you the server admin? If not then you will need to contact your hosting company.

If you are the server admin then as czotos try resetting all the file permissions.

ok this is whats happend,

i moded my server to a new server and ip.

not all the backups went wel, the old server is down now.

so cant make new backups etc.

aready solved a lot of problems this is the only one left.

when i make a new domain i dont have this problem,

somehow the old domains dont belong to a reseller ,

all sites list creator "admin" but are not in the reseller list from admin.

the reseller named "content" says

Name # of Domains
content 16 / 35

but this 16 domains dont show up in the reseller account.


[root@ns1 scripts]# ./move_user_to_reseller.sh bcbnet admin content
User bcbnet is not owned by admin reseller


[root@ns1 scripts]# ./move_user_to_reseller.sh bcbnet content content
User bcbnet is not owned by content reseller

that the domains dont belong to a reseller couses the error in the template i think.

so how do i get the domains back to the correct reseller.

ok, the users are back on the reseller account

added them to users.list manual

and the shop up again and can also move them now from reseller to reseller.


but the template catch all problem still remains
 
Try disabling catchall, save and then re-enable it for each user.

as reseller edit user , deselect catch all , save
as reseller edit user , select cacht all , save

did fix it, so going to edit all accounts now,
