change didecated server

I have a technical question, I have a didecated server now and i ordered new server (bigger)
I will get the new server is ready with Direct Admin panel!
My next step is of course to transfer my sites to new server..

What is the correct way to do this please?
Do I need to do a backup of all the sites and download them to my desktop and then upload them to the new server into admin_backups??
Is After that I do restoration to accounts in new server after I uploaded all sites to it?
There is something I must do before this?
My old server settings how can I reach them?

As I wrote in PM it's very difficult to write a how-to in 5 minutes. Is your server customized? Are you using default configs? It depends on.

General moments and some details were already discussed on these forums. Please, use this link http://tinyurl.com/6zohrgk to view results with Google search. Carefully read it. And when you have certain questions, please feel free to ask.

You can hire somebody from your host company or from this board to do it for you.

You can start transfer account one by one, if you've got enough time, and your DC won't stop your old server very soon. Begin with user accounts with sites, that are very seldom visited, than test, whether everything is working ok. Compare behavior of your site when running on old server and on new server. If any new and unexpected errors occur. If everything is fine, transfer a new account and again check.

If errors occurs, post here a full text or a screen-shot.

Follow steps from this guide just before transferring accounts http://help.directadmin.com/item.php?id=87 and wait a day or so.

That means I have to move my account first!
If I transfer my account first, what does this mean for the sites remaining on the old server?
i mean the sites will still work?Although I moved my site? there is 60 domains

I can not and won't guarantee you, that you won't break anything, following my instructions. I do not know, how your site and other sites are organized. If any PHP scripts do require some PHP files/scripts from your homedir, then they probably will fail to work.

If some domains use CNAME records, that points to your domain. With IP change, such domains will fail to open.

There are too many things, that can happen. And there to many things, on which it depends on. So there hardly can be found a guide or a man, which and who can with 100% accuracy describe your steps without a look into your server, without knowing how it works for you.

In general, if you take any isolated user account, that do not require any shared PHP libs/scripts, with domain without any CNAME records in DNS, without any other records pointing to any other domains, that should work.

I can make backups and upload them to the new server!This will save your time and my money.
