Hello,
Ok, I apologize if I don't explain this well, but I'll give it my best shot....
Basically, my server sends mail from the main server IP address that the server.mydomain.com for DA was configured on. I have set all of my mail records and pop records on a different IP address that I added to the server.
I can send and receive with no problems, but I need to change the sending IP to to be the same as the IP that my mail and pop records use. Mainly because that IP has rDNS on it and the other does not.
So, how do I go about doing this?
Also, as a second question, when I check the reverse lookup for the mail IP on dnsstuff.com, everything looks good, except for this part:
[A=None] *ERROR* A record does not point back to original IP.
Is this something I can modify? Or should my ISP, who created my PTR record, change this?
Thanks in advance!
mesa
Also, I came across these two threads, but I think I need it explained to me in slightly simpler terms...
