Hi Guys,

My vps provider is going to move my vps to another datacenter. Due to the move, all of my previously assigned IP will be changed to a new set of IPs.

Anyone experienced this before? What are the things that I need to ensure or re-configure so that directadmin will work without issue?

Thank you very much.

If you own your DA license you'll have to get it reissued for the new IP#. To do that, contact DA sales.

If the datacenter owns the license they should take care of that for you; be sure to ask them.

You'll have to add the new IP#s in the admin control panel, and then assign them to any resellers. Then log in as the resellers to assign them to the users.

Then remove the old IP#s.

You may or may not have to change the main IP#s the server itself answers to, but I'd think in a virtual server move by the host, they'd take care of that. Since all virtual servers do it differently, I wouldn't even know where to begin on how to do it.

hello jlesman

I have same problem and I have done everything, however, I can not removing old ips can you help me please :(

What have you tried? What error do you get?

You can't remove IP#s if they show as having anything using them (check to see if nameservers have been set to use them; that's what most of us miss).
