I've send a lot of e-mails to Directadmin support, but as usual, I've never get an answer.... I wonder why my company pay this hoster !

So I ask my question here, hoping someone can answer:
Hello,

I have a question.

I've created a new web site to replace my old one, at http://www.anphuc.com.vn/new
Now, my new web site is ready, I would like to make it replace the old one at http://www.anphuc.com.vn

Someone told me I don't have to send again everything to public_html with Firefox, but that I could just change the DNS.
How can I do that to make my website at www.anphuc.com.vn/new replacing the old one at www.anphuc.com.vn ?

Thank you very much,
Jessica from APTTech

DirectAdmin staff can't help you for two reasons:

DirectAdmin isn't your hosting company.

DirectAdmin has nothing to do with how you set up your website.

You can't direct to a directory using DNS. If you have shell access you can log into your account and move the files to the public_html directory. If you don't, and if you don't understand exactly how to do this from what I've written, then you shouldn't try this as you'll probably break your website.

You should find your hosting company and contact their support department, or use ftp to remove the old website from the public_html directory, and the new one from the new directory, and then upload the new one to the public_html directory.

Note that if you don't have a complete copy of the new site at your office, then you'll probably lose your new website by following my instructions.

None of us here are responsible if you delete anything while following our instructions, even if we've made the mistake.

If you're not sure of how to do this and you don't want to risk losing your work you should probably hire someone to do this for you.

This thread has nothing to do with DirectAdmin and has been moved; it's a user-related issue.
