Hello

I have created a couple subdomains from the DNS menu as CNAME records, to point to our domain name.
The cname is:

subdomain.domain.com. CNAME domain.com.

ANSWER:

Problem solved. When you have added the subdomain via cname or an A record in the dns, go to user level -> Domain Pointers.

Add the subdomain as a pointer and it works (it has the www. part before the text input box, but it didnt seem to affect it).

Case closed! Hope this helps someone in the future

I have also tried creating a A record, which does the same thing.

I see four posts from you, and no replies. I'm thinking that the reason there are no replies is because you haven't given anyone enough information to troubleshoot.

Look here for more information.

Sounds more like your not even trying jlasman. I posted here asking if any one knew of an answer, not for them to trouble shoot for me. The reason I posted 3 times is I was trouble shooting.

You're right. I wasn't trying. I read every post on these forums. I help when I can (I've made over 15,000 posts, generally responses). I generally don't bother if there's not enough information to trouble shoot because a few seconds of troubleshooting generally gives the answer.

If you're using name-based hosting, also known as share-IP hosting (one of the things we can see with five seconds of trouble-shooting) then adding an A or Cname record isn't enough; you also need a domain pointer or alias.

Thread closed as well.
