Hello,
I believe I've found it, added a fix to the versions system:

I'm compiling the pre-release binaries now with the workaround fix, and will upload shortly.
Note that this workaround fix breaks:
http://www.directadmin.com/features.php?id=1262
but I'd put the commands.deny as a priority anyway.
Once I get to the bottom of the issue, and fix id=1262 as well, I'll release 1.40.1.
