Create/restore user backup

Since my DA has been messy, I will install again, that all settings are default and not as I fumble so long.

I want to create backups of all users and restore again? Does it work? Is it a successful process?

Will also change the DNS settings, and more on the server
The backup via the Reseller, save only the data? Or also settings for Apache, PHP, etc.
