Create users home home2

Hi everyone I want to set home2 for new user creation I have edit /etc/default/useradd and set edit these values HOME=/mnt/home2 now users start creating on HOME=/mnt/home2 this is OK or we need to do something extra ?
I have follow this but I have not understand it
