I'm sitting here and thinking the day is almost over when some one next to me utters the phrase "today is going real smooth"

Point is I get a phone call saying that one of the sites I host is not recieving their emails. So I checked all the DA settings and nothing has changed. Everything seems to be working. I pinged the server and all is well. I then created some new email addresses for the same domain then created a new inbox for outlook one for each. Emailed them from different computers around the office and all the emails came through.

Is it possible that I am missing something or is it some problem on their end. I told them to contact their network adminstrator. Althoug 2 addresses at their office are recieving mail. I think it might be a mailbox problem but would like to here some input from you guys

Thanks

You may want to take a look at /var/log/exim/mainlog and I'm sure you'll find a solution soon :)

I went into the log view from the admin menu and viewed /var/log/exim/mainlog everything seems to be moving well. I'm super noob to this stuff SSH is something I still don't quite grasp totally.

Today half of their emails decided to work magically. While I had them on the phone I had them change their incoming POP and Outgoing STMP from mail.manningcpallc.com to www.mannincpallc.com and now they are able to recieve and send.

Apparently they are getting a Socket 10060 error when they try and use the mail.manningcpallc.com settings. =( I know I worked around the problem but would like to know how to fix it properly

Thanks

if both URLs resolve to the same IP#, then that's not the problem; the server doesn't care what URL you use to reach the IP#.
