Customize default Squirrelmail options

Hi,

I've found the Squirrelmail config tool via SSH but I can't seem to find anywhere where I can set the 'default' options to be applied to all users.

For example, if I want to set 'display emails in html' by default, (as this is currently off by default), where would I do it?

Please note, I know I can login to my Squirrelmail webmail account and set the option there, but that only does it for me. I would like to set it as the default for new accounts and even have the option to set it for existing accounts too.

There are also other options that I would like to set by default. Are these stored in a file someplace? Is so, where is that please?

Default preferences are stored in the file /var/www/html/squirrelmail/data/default_pref. This is used to build the preferences for new accounts only. Any existing accounts will be located in a .pref file in the same directory. For other helpful information, see the following post:
