DA compatibl. with Cpanel DNS only?

Hello.

Before i try DA i must ask if DA is compatible with Cpanel DNS only. We have made CPanel DNS cluster and work ok, and we like to use existing NS2 which has all NS zones from all our servers.

So, is safe to use DA as NSX with this DN2 ?

I understand what you're saying, but I don't understand why it would be an issue.

DirectAdmin uses BIND to manage DNS. CPanel uses BIND to manage DNS.

The only issue would be to get the DNS zones propagated between the servers.

DA has a multi-server DNS solution; it requires a script be run on any non-DA nameserver used as a slave.

We've also written a multi-server DNS solution; it requires a script on each server and isn't limited to DA or CPanel, or anything else for that matter; it requires only that BIND be running and that you know enough about where BIND keeps it's configuration files so you can set it up.

The script must be downloaded or written if the 2nd server is not going to be running DirectAdmin.

If the second server isn't running DA you might be better off using our package as it includes scripts for both servers.
