DA not starting after update

After updating DA the control panel is not loading
Checked the license key and it was set to Centos 7 so changed it to 6 (which it should be) and did the manual license download
But when trying to start DA in SSH I get
/lib64/libc.so.6: version `GLIBC_2.17' not found (followed by ver 2.15 and 2.14 errors)

Only threads I can find regarding this are talking about wrong OS version set but I've already sorted this so now I'm stuck

Anyone help?
 
ok so DA was installed on centos 6 OR was installed on centos 7

Which preinstall commands did run? the ones for 6 and 7 are different?
 
Would have been for Centos 6 I would have thought - it's so long ago now
It's been working fine uptil now when there was a DA and licence update alert so initiated the update
