I have two domains I have access to WHM and CPs for each
I want to auto forward from a .us to .com domain the main email account Mark
Then after its forwards I would like it to be removed from the inbox on the .us server.

I saw where a person replied to another post about being able to set up the forwarder then simply delete the email account...
So I tried it I get a double email one says user can not be reached and I also received the real email sent as test...

How can I eliminate the dead email one or prevent having to log in to the forwarded email account to clean it out ?

Any help is appreciated

Hello,

You might use filtering in RoundCube. You will need to have RoundCube+Dovecot+pigeonhole installed. Then connect as [email protected] in RoundCube and configure a new filter to forward incoming emails (matching rules) and remove the original email.

General instructions can be found here https://help.poralix.com/articles/creating-autoresponder-via-webmail-in
This is an example of creating an autoresponding filter. The same way you can configure a forwarding filter.

On your account with .us have it set forward (without locally saving) on you email/CP settings- do not remove the actual mailbox, that will just create the "user not found" bounce (as you account no longer exists).

If the goal is to forward the mail and then remove the original, I’d handle it with a mail filter/rule rather than deleting it manually. Just test with a few messages first so you don’t accidentally lose anything that fails to forward.
