Solved Direct Admin URL with :2222 no SSL - website URL no problem.

Hi all,

I just setup a new bladeVPS for one domain only.
The SSL on the website is fine as you can see here:
https:berrisbijou.com

However when I add the :2222 for DA login, it will not work. I can only login to DA with http:// not with https:.//
Is there an easy fix for this?

PS: In fact I would like to login with server.berrisbijou.com but that doesn't work at all. Without or with SSL.
In server settings I set the hostname as server.berrisbijou.com but I guess something more needs to be done.
Any link maybe? I searched the forum, but didn't find an answer.

I thought I did, but apparently not ;)

It failed because the hostname was unreachable because I didn't add the DNS zone for it in DNS administration.
I thought that was done automatically. Silly me.
So now the hostname is available and the SSL for the hostname ran through succesfully.
So all good.

Note for other silly people like me looking for this:
Add your hostname to the DNS by manually adding a DNS zone for it in DNS administration!

OK. Yeah it seems so basic that your hostname is actually accessible.
The VPS was automatically created with DA on CentOS (Transip is the provider), and before it starts creating you need to enter the hostname, which I did.
Anyway, it all works fine now.
