A new skin is in the works. There is a very small screenshot of it on the https://newsite.directadmin.com/ that is about ready to go into testing. Look for an announcement soon :)

Ah yes, the direct email tar. I might try and take a quick look at that to see if we can squeeze it in to 1.50.0, as it would be quite worthwhile.
May bump the release of 1.50.0 a few days, depending on how that goes.

FYI, I've just finished a new feature to be able to restore the SPF records from the backup:

Wow, looks like Christmas came early this year. That screenshot is an excellent surprise, DirectAdmin being the best admin panel out there technically and support wise really deserves this new clean look and responsive layout!

I would vote in favour of delaying for a couple of days to allow the direct email tar in. Would really come in handy, especially on servers where space is tight.

I've added the direct_imap_backup option, but because of the short notice, and risk of breaking something, I've just disabled it by default.

So you can play with it, but you'd need to turn it on.

The tricky part was actually the restore, because of the security risk of extracting it while running as user:mail (eg: in case there was a hardlink to /etc/shadow), so I opted to keep the imap extraction as user:user to play it safe, then crafted an overkill secure recursive lchown to user:mail which renames each file to a random name to ensure there can't be a race condition, plus the usual hardlink checks, and added a user check, so it only lchown's if the owner is user:user, else it won't be touched. So that should be safe.

but if can add other functions like online Shopping cart system etc.
What will this benefit to DA though? You saying an integrated cart to order hosting? If so, there are already ones available that connects to the DA API. I don't get why DA would have one.... Not everyone just use DA for hosting, most offer different panels, therefore a central shopping cart is the way to go.

A new skin is in the works.

Pfew! That is something I'd been waiting for for a looooong time. And while you're at it, you may want to update the copyright notice at the bottom of DA saying "copyright 2012" to something "slightly more modern" :p

I agree that the new site looks nice.

Hi,

Would it be possible to restore the original SPF in case it was changed, but generate a new one when the record in the backup was also default?

regards,
Stijn

+1 for that. It would help a lot if a default spf records was generated as new ones only if the records in the backup was also default, because of the usual ip change when we migrate to new servers.

Or it would even be much better if instead DirectAdmin could automatically change ONLY the ip in ALL spf records IF it is identically to the previous servers main ip. Then both custom and default spf records would be correct automatically when doing restore to a server with a new ip.

Hi.
i just read about php selector on this page https://newsite.directadmin.com/features_list.php
will php selector be compatible with cloudlinux?
thanks
regards

DA has a PHP selector by itself (max 2 versions), but CloudLinux is also supported. The difference is that the one from CL will be at another page within DA (through a plugin) with more options (php extentions/4.x all 5.x versions etc).

We have discover problem with nginx_apache + modsecurity. Only apache + modsecurity is working in nginx_apache you have to disable mod_security.
