With pre-release binaries release version does not change to a newer one, you should check build date. See it is Compile time: Aug 23 2019 at 17:42:30

People are stupid.... Pre-binaries... Read the damn post.... PRE-RELEASE.....

and they've caved into adding the option of auto-login to webmail...... What next, phpmyadmin? I know it's optional but still.

YUP to be complaint to GDPR i expect in "near" future you need special AUDITS then and al lot more LAW things have to be in Control panels, Administration of boxes. ( Peter Laws ) hehe.

There is Microsoft way ahead!
And some other MAilserver as TOBIT/DAVID for many many years has to, but OK they are German where GDPR and such stuff was already more important before the EU GDPR. ( protecting User Data against Admins and co)

So only optional switch without any control / audit checks is hmmm :(

As some GDPR Lawyers find out or Politicians whatever such control panels and SERVER software could be forbidden to use in future in EU , whithout having a lot of special contracts and AUDITING for them.

One-Click login to any RoundCube account from DirectAdmin

(So every Customer of Hoster having DA had te have such possibiliity in a contract GPDR rules with whoever emails them that they can know upfront that sysadmins from company x with a ...contract could read their mails .) a kind off
( er zijn al diverse en heel veel dataverwerkings contracten in allerlei talen, maar of dit namelijk simpel gewoon kunnen meelezen zonder dat iemand achteraf kan zien wie wanneer waar dit gedaan hebben betwijfel ik, )
Sorry DUTCH and also IN Germany i don't expect excisting GDPR contracts have forseen such to easy...

Example privacy rules in Dutch naming some i try to explain, if needed use translation , then you all understand what i mean!
https://ghdatwork.com/privacy-statement

OYAE for everybody who know German Language see here, this is in Germany about a lot IT.. German security IT "LAW" kind of shorten manual for partly such rules.
https://shop.vds.de/de/download/c7ef8c4c9f529185a75474671c74ff8a/

A lot of that is also IN ALL EU country's to take care of.

Thanks for the info, Alex. I was uncertain because i did not get the email auto login to work.

Followed this:
Code:
cd /usr/local/directadmin
./directadmin set one_click_webmail_login 1
service directadmin restart
cd custombuild
./build update
./build dovecot_conf
./build exim_conf
./build roundcube

Unable to see Login column under "Email accounts"

I have the same problem, I do not see how to login to email accounts.

Everything is updated

http://prntscr.com/oxacpz

By the way, I noticed that there is a limitation, it only appears for email accounts created after the upgrade.

Another issue, I am clicking to login but is not logging in.

.

Do you know al your email accounts and have they given a permission.
When create new email account you can have a text for getting permission, but for older you have to get those separate. ;)

That is complete normal .

One-click your way into RoundCube any E-Mail account.
I still hope this will be a directadmin.conf switchable option which is set to off by default, since this is against AVG/GDPR.

These are migrated cpanel accounts

Any one with access to the DA account can read currently all emails using file manager (by browsing Maildir with it) , also master ftp account and shell accounts (I do not talk about admin access user level one is ok) I talk about user level access which is also required for auto login i do not know why auto login webmail is a issue

One of my own Email account from SFTP (user level)
sftp.png

I just need to right click to any of messages and choose View/Edit to read it

My point is that without auto login anyone which have the DA user account asses can read all emails boxes for that user account (without knowing your email password) so auto login do not change anything

P.S It is not only for DA but for any panel where email dirs are accessible in some way with other access methods (any hosting panel actually)

We heard this over and over again, but that is -not- an argument to make access easier. Via file manager or FTP you have to search and try and find the correct mail. Via the simple login, you can easily see the subject and choose which to read from there. It takes extra work via file manager and you don't have any overview of which is what.
So yes, autologin -does- create an important change.

AVG/GPDR is to protect more, not to make life more easier for sysadmins.
So if it already can be done, another more difficult way where you can not see subjects at least, which is more safe, it should not be made easier with a better overview for no reason except lazyness.
Next to that, sysadmins should also not have the FTP credentials of a customer!
That the customer can read his mail is evident.

P.S It is not only for DA but for any panel where email dirs are accessible in some way with other access methods (any hosting panel actually)
Which isn't an argument either. If another panel does not comply with laws it does not mean DA shouldn't either.

Yea but this is no option or default function you switch on or off.

That is in design , but if you use that it is a crime.

You can see in some log access, and sometimes there is a AUDIT software and so on.

Having such easy , without permission and knowing who reads when whoms mail is a crime in EU country's

2 times against the email receiver and against the Email sender .

Having then options for this in GUI's to make it more easy without extra AUDITING could make a GUI / control panel use forbidden in EU or EU custommers mailing to and from it!?

I m only guesing, if you take time and read some of my links i post here you all understand! That reading other person mails is.... the possibilty in GUI makes this even more worse to control measurements against .
https://forum.directadmin.com/showthread.php?t=58711

So if you did read some links you can read in some or in others i don't know by head that for example mecical personal data if in mail must have end to end encryption, so not readable for serveradmins at all!

I do "sell" and as serveradmin TOBIT/DAVID emailserver that have user right settings so admin can't read/open mails from users. for more then 20 years now. ( if you do with more energy they can find out and yup you can get for 3 years in jail in Germany for that!

That is LAW for years now and the GDPR privacy is going even further with having disabled such...

THIS IS NOT GDPR but standard defualt!
https://www.anwalt.de/rechtstipps/wann-ist-neugier-strafbar_129156.html in german but translated some.
If you use passwords or cracked passwords without permission to get/read emails or chat histories
For example, anyone who uses passwords without permission / illegally or intrudes into computer systems, thereby gaining access to chat messages or emails, may face up to three years' imprisonment.
