DirectAdmin 1.683

A new build is released. It contains a hot-fix for a bug in backup restore operation that caused not restoring the user password saved in the backup. Older DA releases are not affected.
 
The feature "Copy to" is still available in the File Manager when more than one file is selected. Thanks for the feedback. We will review the FM file actions to see how to make copying single file to other directories easier.
 
A new build is released for this version. It fixes the missing suspended user status in Evolution skin.

The update was completed, but the FTP backup restoration process is giving an error. The 'Next Step' button is not working

Hello,

I can confirm that after the latest DirectAdmin update, including the CSF firewall update, I am experiencing issues with FTP restores. The process now fails and gets stuck, just like another user reported.


Additionally, scheduled backups only work if I temporarily disable the firewall. I haven’t changed anything on my server; the only change was the recent update.

Has anyone else encountered this issue, or is there a recommended fix to make FTP restores and scheduled backups work with CSF enabled?

I’ve just encountered the same issue with FTP restores (on versions 1.683 and 1.682):

In DirectAdmin, I go to Admin Backups → Restore, switch to FTP, and for recent versions, the "Next Step" button stays disabled. If I click "Reload Files", then "Next Step" (2x), the page goes blank when attempting to display the files.

I haven’t tried disabling CSF yet, but I believe it should work with it enabled (as it always has).

P.S. I also discovered the same issue occurs when using the Local restore option.

I can confirm that all the issues with backups and restores have been resolved in the new version.
