Hello everyone,

Things are changing fast.

How do you think Directadmin can get on the AI bandwagon?

Cheers!

I posted something similar to the softaculous board about wordpress and AI, because there are several hosters who are in already with own developments. But AI for directadmin, i argue it could be senseful.

The WP AI assistance is a great start. But it's pretty much classic AI with a new AI text generator.

I think AI could be a great addition to DirectAdmin if it's focused on practical server management rather than just being a chatbot. Features like explaining error logs, suggesting fixes for configuration issues, automating routine maintenance, optimizing server performance, and detecting potential security problems would be genuinely useful. An AI assistant that understands the server's configuration and provides actionable recommendations could save administrators a lot of time.

Basically I agree absolute. It could be an enormous easement in server management and customer service. But there is this little other, dark side, too .. you got the story about the latest Open AI model, breaking out and hacking Hugging Face? https://www.theguardian.com/technol...-and-hacked-startup-in-unprecedented-incident
I argue if I ever could trust any agent, if nobody knows what they really "think", and give them full access to the server and all customer data..

I would stay away from AI, one of the reasons i like directadmin is that is doesn't add AI crap to it. Not to mention the security implications, promt injections etc etc. So please don't infect Directadmin with AI virus :)
