I'm looking to build some DA servers on elastic VPSs (CPUs are dynamically added and removed etc), so I need a way to support many many static requests if the server gets bigger for a day, and then not so many if it contracts.

This messes up the licensing with LiteSpeed, as I would either need to buy a very large license, which is expensive when contracted, so not be able to serve enough static data if expanded.

I think a 1 CPU LIteSpeed license with nginx in front, would be the best way.

Now I can do this the long way, like I used to, but I was wondering whether I could tweak the custombuild nginx_apache config?

Has anyone else ever done this?

Hello,

I'm afraid you might loose speed of processing dynamic content if to install LiteSpeed behind NGINX.

Whenever it's suitable I'd rather try to move static media files to a separate domain with a separate IP and bind NGINX to it. Thus 2 IPs: 1 IP for LiteSpeed with dynamic content and another IP for NGINX with static content.
