Hi,

I’m considering setting up a new server with Rocky Linux 9 and installing DirectAdmin on it. Just wanted to check with those who are already running it in production — is it stable on Rocky 9? Any issues or limitations I should know about before moving forward?

I also have an existing site on an old cPanel server (CentOS 7) that needs to be moved. Since CentOS 7 is EOL, I’m planning to migrate everything to a new DirectAdmin setup instead of staying with cPanel.

For those who’ve done this before, how smooth is the migration from cPanel to DirectAdmin in real-world situations? I’m mainly concerned about website files, MySQL databases, email accounts, and PHP compatibility. Is it generally straightforward, or should I expect manual fixes along the way?

Appreciate any advice or shared experience.

Dont have any experience with RL with Almalinux 9 it works flawless
Maybe you can condsider to migrate AL 10 but you must have the full license (no legacy support on 10)

I have seen severeal threads regading migration and my self have done it few times (migrating old CL users to DA) wich worked well too
Just start with a new server and test it trough before migrations is my advice for you
