Hello!

I'm using Dovecot as email server and I'm also importing all my email accounts via POP3 in Gmail backup account.
The issue is when the Gmail importing the emails before I do that with Outlook and when I do this, all my imported emails is marking as Read so sometime I'm missing some emails because they marked as Read.

Anyone know how can I resolve that issue and disable the Reading mark when Gmail import those emails?

Thanks! :)

Hello,

It's mostly Gmail's issue. If you don't like how Gmail deals with your mails, try to reconfigure that. Probably there's an option in Gmail web interface, that defines it's behavior related to your problem.

Other way you can go, it's to use fetchmail on your server with Directadmin, that will deliver necessary emails to your Gmail e-mail box.

Can you give me more information about the fetchmail solution?

Thanks.

Please learn it from this source
Thanks!

I've looked on this package and from what I've understood, this is make the opposite action.
I don't need to backup my Gmail account - the Gmail account is the backup solution that should take a copy of all my emails in my server and save them.
on this post, you can see that what this package does is to move emails from Gmail(or any other POP3 server) to my server(in this case).

Do you have any other solution?

Thanks again!

With fetchmail you can move/copy your emails from your server to Gmail or vise-verse.
I've installed this on my server.

Do you know how can I configure this to move emails to Gmail(I didn't actually find this guide in the project website)?

Thanks!
