In the /var/log/exim/paniclog these lines seen to appear fairly regularly:
Code:
2020-02-03 23:37:54 1iykLo-00036e-Cl unable to open file for reading: /etc/virtual/server.domain.com/dkim.private.key
2020-02-04 02:43:17 1iynF4-0006ng-Bd unable to open file for reading: /etc/virtual/server.domain.com/dkim.private.key
This key does indeed not exist. But this is the hostname.

Should this key exists or is this caused by bruteforcing some how and can this be ignored?

If the files do not exist, then I believe there is nothing to worry about. The files are used only for DKIM-singing outgoing emails send in behalf of your server ([email protected] or [email protected]). They might be related to brute-forcing, if your server constantly send notifications about brute-force to you.
