Hello all,
Before : DA1 with first NS1 on itself, NS2 on a third party datacenter server, same with DA2
( DA1 = server 1 with DirectAdmin )
Today i turned on the multi server feature on my 2 DA servers to link them together.
I added on my registrar panel (joker) third DNS entry for the currents domains (i tried first with one!), each time the other DA server as NS
I added the third NS on the DA panel from the host
The 2 DA sync themselves, so now i can change DNS on DA1 or DA2 !
Then i removed third party NS server with registrar panel, and same in DA
I checked all the time a few test with http://www.dnsreport.com/ to be sure all changed and run well.
Now i can set definitively DA1 & DA2 as NS1 NS2 for each domain.
No more need 3rdparty dns.
This decrease little lookup time for the first DNS call, some domains passed from C to A ! check dns timing here http://www.dnsstuff.com/
And no more 'no glue' , & same TTL in the DNS
So i am very happy about this great feature !
