Hi,

From reading the posts, I realize I've got a whole heap of learnin' ahead of me and I gotta start somewhere.

I've got 100 domain names to transfer from the registra into 5 classes or sites. (Frankly, I'm not quite sure why they are called classes.)

The company I bought the domain names states...
"The name server will need both a host name and an IP address associated with it."

Movin' on...
Can anyone explain this as if I'm a caveman buying my first computer. ( Now you may ask why would a caveman buy a computer.... it's because it's a whole bunch prettier than a club:)

I appreciate any and all assistance. The simplier the better. Thanks....

Can you be more succinct?

Howdy there Jeff

I appreciate you a lookin at my help message Jeff.

First off Jeff, I'm right sorry it took me so long to get back with ya. I've been busier than a two legged dog chasin a stick. And I'll freely admit that I'm not the smartest stick on a tree but I gots to start somewhere.

I'm a guessing you meant succinct in your message and I'll do the best I can. I gets down right dizzy lookin at all these details.

With my GotWebHost plan, I can have all the domains I want. But I have to place the domain in a specific IP. The terms classone, classtwo, classthree, classfour and classfive is used as names for the different IPs.

Gotswebhost has a default nameserver for domains purchased from other folks. I can also create my own nameserver using the domain name.

Does it make any difference which nameserver I use? My domain website gets on the internet regardless which nameserver I use.

I hope this is more clear than before. I truly gets right confused when I start lookin at all this here information.

Thanks a bunch and God Bless.

DirectAdmin will create DNS records automatically when you create a site.

So as long as you're using nameservers that are hosted on the same server as your domain, it doesn't matter which nameserver you use.

Presuming they've all been properly registered.
