Do you know this error - host: isc_socket_create: not enough free resources

Hello,

I have found this error on my server's Apache logs:

host: isc_socket_create: not enough free resources

Do you have any idea about it?

The server isn't overloaded

Have you tried googling the error?

How many virtual hosts (domains) do you have on the server?

You may need t change some settings in /etc/httpd/conf/httpd.conf.

Jeff

Thank you Jeff :)

I allways start by googeling for errors, bu this time, I have found nothing.

I have about 400 small websites.

The server has 2 Gb RAM and its load is about 0.8 - 0.9 all the time.

when you get this error apache is going down and wont come up without a reboot or is it just a line in the logs?

That's funny; when I googled the entire error (I cut and pasted it from your post) I got this response from google:

Results 1 - 10 of about 351 for host: isc_socket_create: not enough free resources
