Domain name is not working

Dears,

I am facing issue with domain name

Please find the following facts

- Domain name registered and DNS set before 3 days
- Port 80,53,443 and 2222 is enabled on firewall
- The nslookup ns1.mydomain.com is showing the correct IP
- The nslookup ns2.mydomain.com is showing the correct IP as well
- DNS configuration is done as following attached

- No errors when restarting named
- iptable -F applied
- No rule in server firewall
- /etc/resolv.conf has
nameserver 8.8.8.8
nameserver 8.8.8.8
- I can ping google.om or any other website from the server
- I can access apache page "apache is working fine" by putting the IP only in the browser
- the nslookup mydomain.com gives
server can't find mydomain.om: SERVFAIL

Any idea ?
 
Use Zeiters advise in any case.

Just to be sure:
- The nslookup ns1.mydomain.com is showing the correct IP
- The nslookup ns2.mydomain.com is showing the correct IP as well

You set these two at your domain registrar too as nameservers for your domain, have you? Otherwise it won't work anyway.

From intoDNS it shows the following errors:

Mismatched NS records
WARNING: One or more of your nameservers did not return any of your NS records.

DNS servers responded
ERROR: One or more of your nameservers did not respond:
The ones that did not respond are:
x.xx.xx.xx

Missing nameservers reported by your nameservers
You should already know that your NS records at your nameservers are missing, so here it is again:

ns1.mydomain.com.
ns2.mydomain.com.


sorry (Correction)
- The nslookup ns1.mydomain.com and nslookup ns2.mydomain.com is not working from external server
