Email Account for Domain Pointers

Is it possible to have email accounts for domain pointers ?

Domain Pointers that are NOT set up as aliases cannot have email addresses. If you set up the domain pointer as an alias, the same mailboxes will work for both and email to either will end up in the same mailboxes for both.
