I have a weird problem that unfortunately I have discovered the hard way. (lost clients mailbox)

I have an email account that is working fine but is not visible in email accounts page (http://server.com:2222/CMD_EMAIL_POP?domain=domain.com)

The big problem is that the mailbox is not included in the backup file.
I have run all fix scripts under /scripts folder. I have corrected the permissions.
Any ideas?

Is there an entry for the mailbox in /etc/virtual/EXAMPLE.COM/passwd ?

In /etc/virtual/EXAMPLE.COM/aliases ?

In /etc/virtual/EXAMPLE.COM/quota ?

Is there a directory for for the mailbox at /home/USERNAME/imap/EXAMPLE.COM/ ?

Jeff

Thank you Jeff for your reply.
Pls read between the lines

Is there an entry for the mailbox in /etc/virtual/EXAMPLE.COM/passwd ?
Yes, and the paths are correct.

In /etc/virtual/EXAMPLE.COM/aliases ?
No, but neither all other emails are listed.
Only the following is included in the file
example: example
*: :fail:

In /etc/virtual/EXAMPLE.COM/quota ?
Yes the account is listed

Is there a directory for for the mailbox at /home/USERNAME/imap/EXAMPLE.COM/ ?
Yes the mailbox is there

Don't forget that the email is working fine.

Forget about my second question. Not important.

This problem is now beyond my ability. Hopefully someone else will know. Perhaps John from DirectAdmin Support.

If some accounts from /etc/virtual/domain.com/passwd are showing up... there are not too many reasons why some accounts might not.

A few guesses:

1) Perhaps the email account is on "page 2" of the output. I believe there are only 50 items per page... page 2 might have gone unnoticed.

2) Any search filters? (Advanced Search on the table)

3) what is the name of the account? Are there any special characters, or characters that DA might consider invalid?
An invalid account (according to DA) might not show up in the list.
