[email protected] is an example. Didn't want to spam the real email.

How should I go about doing this?

The domain in question is not on your server; you're asking your server to relay email to another server.

Before it will do that your server needs to know that you're not just a spammer; that you're authorized to use it for outgoing email.

To do that you must either receive email from the server before sending it, or you need to use password authentication for smtp.
