Email folders appear in English in Outlook when using IMAP

Hello everyone, I run a web hosting company in Brazil and I have a recurring issue.

I create a hosting account in DirectAdmin and then create the email accounts normally.
However, when I configure these email accounts in Outlook, all default folders appear in English (Sent, Trash, Drafts, etc.).

This happens even when:
  • Webmail is in Portuguese
  • Windows is in Portuguese
  • Outlook is in Portuguese
In Thunderbird, the folders appear correctly in Portuguese, but in Outlook they do not.

Does anyone know a way to fix this so that Outlook shows the folder names in Portuguese?

From what I’ve researched, DirectAdmin creates the folders with English names, and Outlook seems to have difficulty translating or mapping them.
Is there any known solution or workaround for this?

Have you tried this again?

Where you choose your language in the option and select the Rename default folders?

Just to be sure, exactly which outlook is this?
Outlook from Office, if yes, which Office? 2016, 2019, 2021, 2024, 365?
Outlook (new) from Windows?

Oke, then another way. Outlook client also takes the settings from the webmail settings. If you login to outlook via webmail, do you also have Portugees set in there?
If yes then I don't know. I've even encountered a Thunderbird client which has mixed setting which could not be changed gobally anymore. Very odd stuff.

Maybe somebody else has tips?

Minhas configurações de webmail estão em português, e mesmo assim não funciona no Outlook. No entanto, quando configuro no Thunderbird, funciona normalmente. Aparentemente, o Outlook não consegue traduzir as pastas.
