Hi there,

We can't send any email to some companies. E.g.:

Code:
This message was created automatically by mail delivery software.

A message that you sent could not be delivered to one or more of its
recipients. This is a permanent error. The following address(es) failed:

  deu**-****@gmx.de
SMTP error from remote mail server after initial connection:
host mx00.emig.gmx.net [212.***.**.9]: 554-gmx.net (mxgmx013) Nemesis ESMTP Service not available
    554-No SMTP service
    554-Bad DNS PTR resource record.
    554 For explanation visit http://postmaster.gmx.com/en/error-messages?ip=**.**.119.20*&c=rdns

* ip adress.

After these error we just send email to GMX and report this problem. Now we get their response and they said this:

"Dear Sirs,

thank you for your query.

Your email has been rejected because of one of the following issues related to your mail server configuration:

- no domain name is assigned to your server's IP in the DNS (domain name system)
- your DNS Records point to a list of dynamic IP addresses or to your provider's default entries
- the DNS record that you are using is not accepted by us.

In order to be able to deliver emails to our system, please ensure that your server has a valid domain name (Fully Qualified Domain Name - FQDN) and a reverse lookup (rDNS).

We would also advise you to choose a name that it is different from the default entry of your provider, like "123-123-123-123-static.provider.tld".

A good format would be, for example: "mail.yourdomain.tld".

Should you have further queries regarding the correct configuration of your DNS entry, please contact your server provider.

I tried it but problem not solved. How to we add that example (mail.yourdomain.tld) in ACP? I already select "Create Reverse IP Lookup" before create DNS Record but problem still not solved.

Thanks.

Hello,

rDNS or PTR records should be created in your server provider control panel, it is not Directadmin's side. If your server providing company does not allow to change rDNS/PTR then you should open a ticket with them and request the changes of the records.

zEitEr,

We have a dedicated server (with root/admin ssh, etc.). It's possible to do this? If you tell steps, we will try it in our server.

Thanks.

Do you own/rent /24 or /23 IP4 subnet? If not, then you have no way to modify rDNS/PTR records on your side, contact your DC or server provider company for this.
