I know there are alot of posts but I havent found one with my exact problem.

I have DA setup on a dedicated server that I bought.
I have it setup with 2 different IP's

1 IP is setup for the server itself server1.mydomain.com
2nd IP is setup for a client of mine that hosts 150+ sites

The problem is that my client cannot send emails from anyone of his domains.
He is using the nameservers from his registrar for all of his records (A, MX)
As the nameserver IP's for the domains on the server he is using OpenDNS 's 2 nameservers.
I can send mail to him no problem but as soon as he sends or replies it gets an imediate error.

Any Insight or other Info need let me know this is URGENT

have you checked on your server in mail log with that address? any error there?

oc_ceo,

I can understand why you don't want to give us a real email address. But if you don't, it's impossible to do any tests, so the only help you'll get will be possible suggestions, which may or may not be helpful.

I recommend creating an email address at the account just for testing purposes, and giving that out.

Then later you can delete it.

The address failed for a reason. When I look at the MX records for ostashen-consulting.com, I get four different mailservers. I presume this is the destination domain and not on your server. Which of the four servers is telling you the email is undeliverable?

The outgoing emails are being sent by squirrelmail. Do you have the same problem using a local mail client? Or only when using squirrelmail?

When I try to send email to their four servers, manually, from the command line, the email is accepted.

The recipient is using a Postini mail server; if you're still experiencing difficulties you'll have to ask whomever administers the postini system(s) for them.

Jeff

I administer those postini SPAM filters.

All of those address that I sent messages from squirlmail to are valid becuase they are used on a daily basis. Are you telling me that the server with DA on it looks to be setup right ? Postini will not reject messages from people it will just flag them as SPAM but that is not what is happening here ?

Im really confused on this whole setup with DA.

If the postini server is rejecting those emails then of course you can say all you want that it doesn't do it, but if it's doing it (and it appears to be from what you've posted and my tests, then it is.

It's impossible to tell if your DA server is set up or not without looking into it (we only do that for money ;), but maybe you can ask DirectAdmin support:

http://www.directadmin.com/support.html

Or perhaps your server for some reason is sending the email somewhere else? You didn't include the headers from your error message so it's impossible to tell which server is sending you the error messages.

Jeff

How do I get the headers in squirlmail ?

Is there a better webmail app then that installed in DA ?

When the server refusing the connection sends you the error they should show the servername in the from field of the email you get showing the error.

That said, there's a link near the top of the squirrelmail email message which will show you the headers.
