Enquiry on Package Updates on CentOS 8

I am running CentOS 8 on a DA KVM VPS. It has been running 9 days without any problems.

Just check your OS
# cat /etc/centos-release

If it is the same as mine, then your upto date

CentOS Linux release 8.0.1905 (Core)
CPE OS Name: cpe:/o:centos:centos:8
Kernel: Linux 4.18.0-80.11.2.el8_0.x86_64
Architecture: x86-64

I sure I had some updates when I installed CentOS 8

I'm on:

[ ~]#  cat /etc/centos-release
CentOS Linux release 8.1.1911 (Core)
[ ~]#

Installed the server with a minimal boot 1905 boot iso and had problems connecting to the repo to finish the install.
Found the correct url for the repo here: bugs centos
Not sure if this is the one, but read the whole thread: http://mirror.centos.org/centos/8/BaseOS/x86_64/os

I've had several updates since.
I guess if you installed your server with the full dvd you would not have encountered this problem with installing and stayed unaware of the bug.

I installed minimal Centos 8 via automatic image from the datacenter. And the VPS is running fine.
It's installed and running with 8.1.1911 (Core).
Did not have any issues with bugs or the repo.
