Error: Forwarder already exists

In case some background may help, I deleted the existing forwarder because even though the emails were forwarded successfully, they were not delivered to the accounts inbox. I wanted to check if removing the forwarder would solve that problem which it did but now I cannot add it back and not sure if adding it back will bring the previous problem back.
