Jonh ur help is right but, i made backups and then formatted the box.. so i had no possibility to make other backups.. i was in no way solution... but, using tar from console and than backup it again has worked without problem, that should be an alternative way to the help u linked.

This is helpful. I had to do this on 4 freebsd servers during a move.

But the last two commands on my Freebsd servers were this:

mv /usr/bin/tar /usr/bin/tar.old
cp src/tar /usr/bin/tar
