I set up a new DirectAdmin sever and set everything up for a working environment. But when I do the cPanel transfer, I get a lot of errors. I had AI summarize all the errors and it said this:
Any idea why the transfer can't write DNS zones?
Any what can you do if the old server has an older MYSQL version but DirectAdmin will only use Maria DB. When I try to change to MySQL in custombuild section, it says:
Downgrade migration from MariaDB 10.6 to 10.3 is not supported. More info: More info: https://docs.directadmin.com/other-...adb-mysql/general.html#how-to-reinstall-mysql
No matter what version or MYSQL type, it won't move off MariaDB 10, which means anything being transferred with MySQL or an older version will likely have issues.
Why can't it move to another version?
- Root cause 1 (critical): DirectAdmin cannot write DNS zone files under /var/named, so none of the domains can be created during the restore.
- Root cause 2 (important): The databases in the cPanel backup use utf8mb4_0900_ai_ci, which your target MySQL/MariaDB does not support, so DB imports fail.
