All of a sudden i have a problem with exim not delivering inbound messages.

FreeBSD 6.1. Exim 4-63.

Downloaded the standard exim.conf and restarted exim to be sure my own modifications are not to blame. Also reinstalled Exim. No change.

I send a mail and see this in my mainlog:

2006-08-17 17:16:23 1GDjbb-000JMj-L5 <= [email protected] H=psmtp04.wxs.nl [195.121.247.13] P=esmtp S=792 [email protected] T="test" from <[email protected]> for [email protected]
2006-08-17 17:16:23 1GDjbb-000JMj-L5 => floris <[email protected]> F=<[email protected]> R=virtual_user T=virtual_localdelivery S=947
2006-08-17 17:16:23 1GDjbb-000JMj-L5 Completed

Mail arrives in /var/spool/virtual/geekhq.nl/floris and just sits there. Mail never arrives in the correct mailbox.

Any ideas how to make exim work again and get my stagnated mails delivered? 'exim -qff' does nothing.

so with exim/DA you cannot receive mail unless you forward it (set a forwarder).
The admin account is created for admin usage and is only visible with squirellmail imap without the @ extension. You cannot pop it.

Oh, you mean that. No my admin name in da is not floris.

Mail delivery has worked before. It just... stopped suddenly.

Just found the answer.

Apparently my mailboxes became mbox again.... had to reapply the exim patches and convert mailboxes.

Odd.
