I remove and install again exim4 and mailx, now the log of the system look fine, but I can not send email, if I look the log of exim:

2008-09-12 17:25:33 login authenticator failed for cdlac1-a1-x-xx.ipcom.comunitel.net (U200) [xxx.xxx.xx.xx]: 435 Unable to authenticate at present ([email protected]): Undefined subroutine &main::smtpauth called.

I think that don´t work the auth but How can I repair ?

Maybe the problem was that I had exim and now I install exim4?

Ok, now I am like the start.
The exim that use DA is not the same that come with ubuntu packages, them I remove exim and run the script of exim from directadmin.

Now work everything but still with the same error of the start, can somebody help me?

Is there anything in the exim mainlog for that particular email (1KeCo0-0001NB-Ng)?

Hi,

The only thing that I can see is most of the mail that cause the problem are Notify-Sender, then I put in the exim:

headers_remove = "Disposition-Notification-To:Return-Receipt-To:Receipt-Requested-To:Confirm-Reading-To:MDRcpt-To:MDSend-Notifications-To:Smtp-Rcpt-to:Read-Receipt-To:X-Confirm-Reading-Toelivery-Receipt-To:errors-to"

And now the problem is less, but still with some mail that i can not see diference.

I tried with diference version of exim ( now 4.69 from da ) and spamassassin, not diference.

When the mail comes to the queue mark the error in mainlog and /var/log/messages and then all the time that exim try to send the error appear again, when I delete the mail from queue stop until come other mail with the problem.

Some help?

Now I am sure that the problem was in the subject of the mail.

If I send the same email to the same system but with difference subject come the error:

Subject: windows-1252?Q?Active_su_cuenta_PayPal_confirmando_su_direcci=F3n_de
Recive Ok.

Subject: =?windows-1252?Q?Active_su_cuenta_PayPal_confirmando_su_direcci=F3n_de?=
Come the error, the mail stay at the queue and each time that want send again the error.

We've noticed problems previously with bad encoding in subject and other header lines causing problems with delivery. Are these valid messages? Who's sending them? Why are they sending a header with invalid characters?

If they're spam just let them fail.
