Fresh install - admin login problem

Hi to all,

First I want to thanks everyone for helping.

I order new cloud VPS, and can you guess what happen ? Directadmin is working like a charm.

My old VPS has problems, but provider is telling me all day that node has no firewall and all is running ok. New VPS is working great with directadmin.

Best regards

Same problem here...

I have the same exact problem here. Simply nothing loads when attempting to view the login page via port 2222 on a fresh centos 6 install. I have another DA install I did a couple of months back that works flawlessly on centos 5 and I too wonder if this is what is causing the problem.

I'm not well versed in linux so I depend on what I read. I've done everything I can and am vexed as to what I can do next.

I discovered the problem... Despite having it set to use IPv4 the install chose IPv6...

I also have a login problem. Using FreeBSD 9.1 64bit, I installed DirectAdmin according to DA-Rff's manual (http://forum.directadmin.com/showthread.php?t=45333). Almost everything went well, but as usual every system reacts different on a manual. I was able to solve most problems, but now I'm stuck how to enter the admin...
All required services are up and running, as is the DirectAdmin service. When entering the login page (http://domain.com:2222) I enter the username and password for admin. Unfortunately DirectAdmin tells me the credentials are wrong (Invalid login. Please verify your Username and Password).

I changed the password using SSH and tested it succesfully by logging in through SSH. The username/password combination is ok.
However, I still get the error on the login page.

Anyone got an idea how to solve this?

First make sure you've reset the admin password. Second be sure you've got cookies enabled in your browser. As long as you have shell root access I and others on these forums could help you with further troubleshootihg as a commercial service.

I did reset the password already (twice even), I mentioned it :)

My browser accepts cookies, I also tried other browsers and even another machine. No luck so far.
Maybe it's worth mentioning I already have another server running (for 5 years), using FreeBSD 7 and DirectAdmin and I have no problems logging onto that system, so I don't think the browser is the problem.
