Hi

Considering the fact that DA vps license is very much cheaper than cpanel's, I am thinking of making separate price for da vps and dedicated server. But I am sure it is not going to be more than Da's price :)

I've some discussions going on with john @ directadmin, hopefully, I will come up with a solution soon :)

Hi,

I believe that a simple solution could be the option to create Admins with restrictions. E.g. NOT to be able to delete other Admins or change certain configurations etc.

What is your opinion on this?

I highly doubt its possible because the only user that can make resellers is an admin.

OK... How about creating a fourth user level between the admin and reseller level:

administrator level
master reseller level
reseller level
user level

Master reseller can sell reseller and users accounts.

Adding such a feature and giving users the ability to create master resellers that can sell reseller accounts, would be definitely a plus... If I am not mistaken, the only solution right now, is using cpanel with zamfoo...

We still use cpanel with zamfoo, just for this feature and although we would like to change control panel we can't, because we will lose our resellers...
 
Apart from a plugin / development by DA - you could also consider doing this trough the API, you could give your customers a own made panel where they can create/manage resellers.

However this takes more work and record keeping in disk/traffic-usage, so the original thought of a master reseller within DA still isn't a bad idea.
 
I seem to recall a relatively new feature wherein you can create limited admins. Do they give you enough of what you need?
